Southtowns BMX Basic Rules:

Each rider must have their equipment verified while wearing approved apparel and helmet.  NO EXCEPTIONS.

Cutting the track is not permitted.  This endangers other riders who are on the track or coming off the gate.

Bikes are not permitted in the walk areas.

Organizational buildings (Registration, Snack Shack, Announcer's Tower) are off limits to riders and parents.

Wallets with chains or chains on belts or belt loops are prohibited.

All riders at ALL times must wear long sleeves, long pants, and helmet. Pant legs must be down and not rolled up.  Helmet must cover 1/2 of your ear and has a mouth guard that can snap on, or a full face helmet (Motorcycle helmets work well.).  This is a mandatory rule from the NBL.  No short sleeves with elbow pads.  Only approved shorts with shin guards covering the top of the ankle are acceptable.

Rolled up jeans with knee high socks are NOT acceptable.

No parent or guardian is allowed on the track during the race unless instructed by a race official.

Drugs and alcohol are prohibited.

No fighting.

No pets are allowed inside the fence.

Riders are responsible for their parents and any guests.  If a parent or guest is asked to leave, you will also be asked to leave.

Foul language will not be tolerated.

All riders under the age of 18 must have a parent/legal guardian present for all practices and races.

We ask everyone to be considerate of our EMS team.  Give them the room they require while examining an injured rider.
